Rebates

The Medicare Better Access Scheme entitles Australian citizens and Permanent Residents to a rebate of $131.65 per session with a clinical psychologist, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. This results in a $53.35 gap fee.

To gain access to this rebate, you must have a  Mental Health Care Plan completed by your GP. This is a confidential health record completed with your GP. After 6 sessions, you will need to return to your GP, should you need further sessions, to have a review of your Mental Health Care Plan. 

If you are registered with Medicare online, your rebate can be processed at the time of payment.

I am no longer registered with NDIS to provide therapeutic supports under the category Improved Daily Living. I now see NDIS-funded clients who are either self-managed or plan-managed. The current hourly rate for an NDIS therapy hour $185.
